When was the organization founded?
SUNARMA (Sustainable Natural Resource Management Association) is an NGO dedicated to improving the livelihoods of rural Ethiopian communities through the participatory management of natural resources, sustainable agricultural practices, and the protection of forest ecosystems.
What does "Participatory Forest Management" mean?
This is our core approach where we empower local communities to take the lead in managing their natural resources. By giving local communities the responsibility and rights to manage their forests, we ensure that conservation efforts are sustainable and directly benefit those who rely on the land for their survival.
